    Won’t turn on at all,

    • Heath Brown ,

I’ve tried different different outlets that I know work, I have taken it apart & there is a thing that passes water thru & has 2 wires connected 2 the top that’s rusted, I’ve taken it off & it has continuity thru the connectors, Idk if that means anything cuz I have know idea exactly what it’s even called,
I don’t c any obvious burnt up resistors, capacitors etc on board,
Just wondering if any1 had similar problems

      • Hi Heath. Thanks for the question. Are you able to email a photo to us showing what you describe? We might be able to provide you with some advice on fixing it. Thanks, Andrew

  • Laura ,

Touch screen won’t work, so machine won’t even turn on.

    • Hi Laura. If the touch screen is gone there isn’t much that can be done other than a replacement of the screen (and the electronics behind it). If you brewer is around 12 months old, or less, then give Keurig Customer Service a call and ask them to send you a new machine. They don’t attempt the fix on more complex problems. Don’t worry if you don’t have the receipt, they just need the serial number. Andrew

how do you drain the internal resevoir

    • Unfortunately the internal reservoir cannot be drained. Once a Keurig is started for the first time and the machine is pressurized, there is no easy way of removing all of the water. Other than taking the machine apart, removing the tank’s pressure and then performing a manual drain; not an easy task. You may also want to check our reply to Doug who had the same question: https://fixingthek.com/your-questions-and-answers/keurig-2-0-draining-for-storage/

    • Thanks for your question. Unfortunately there is no easy way of draining a Keurig internal boiler unit. We had a similar question from Doug back in July (https://fixingthek.com/your-questions-and-answers/keurig-2-0-draining-for-storage/) asking how he could too. The only approach we know of is accessing the boiler, and so getting outer casing off, and pulling the outlet tubing. This would remove the air pressure and enable you to get the water out by tipping the machine upside down.

  • Mike Thompson ,

It seems to not pump water. It just trickles out

    • Hi Mike. If you would like to drop us an email (using the contact us page) with a few more details, eg model of Keurig etc, we can hopefully help you back to brewing coffee again. Thanks, Andrew

  • Steve Hardaker ,

My Keurig started getting noisy (like a grinding sound) a few weeks ago. Then it started not dispensing the size of cup selected. Sometimes I would get a large cup when selecting large, but most times I would get a small cup when selecting large. This morning, after warm up, the add water, heating and medium cup lights started flashing continuously and never allowed me to brew a cup. Can anyone help out here. The unit is just over a year old.

    • Hi Steve. With a brewer just over a year old I would have a go at claiming a new one under the Keurig warranty. I know its limited to a year but we have had a number of readers who have had new machines sent even though they were the “wrong side” of the one year mark. If you have no luck there let us know via the Contact Us page and we’ll see how we can the brewer fixed instead. Thanks, Andrew

Keurig’s customer service team can be contacted toll-free, on: 1-800-361-5628 (for Canadian residents). For those in the USA their number is: 866‑901‑BREW (866‑901‑2739).

Thanks Andrew. I did call Keurig yesterday and the girl asked a bunch of questions, then suggested de scaling. What I didn’t know is that after all the vinegar goes through and the add water light comes on, you are supposed to leave the unit on for 4hours to let the remaining vinegar de scale better. I did this and it didn’t really help. Did the vinegar thing a second time and it is giving me more liquid in the cup now. But still takes forever to warm up, brew and dispense. Grind, grind. And it appears to be leaking now after I fill with water. I will be calling their tech support again. Thank you for your help!
