Winterizing My Keurig

From:

 B. Lubecke.

Question:

I live in Wi. and Fl. I have two Keurig pots. When I leave Wi. I turn off all heat and water. How can I keep my coffee pot from freezing and breaking ?

Response:

Other than placing antifreeze in the brewer we can’t think of any thing that could be done here. However, antifreeze probably wouldn’t the do the brewer any good and being a rather toxic substance probably not best for going into a machine to drink from later (even with a few good rinse cycles).

Hopefully one of our readers might be able to come up with something to help.
