Brew temp stays on; says its brewing but it is not.

A frustrating problem John raises a question about and something we have come across a number of times from readers. It is sometimes caused by the machine not being able to regulate its temperature correctly and so isn’t able to then start a brewing process. Any problems with temperature regulation generally will involve some repair, and we have found the LCD replacement the most effective approach.
Before going ahead with that though, we have a guide that looks at some issues that can cause this problem and this is worth working through first to see if it can be overcome before replacing the brains on the unit.
